Sila offers more than a decade of experience in the digital media industry with a majority of her experiences focusing on driving revenue, brand development, product launches, market share, distribution and daily operations. A key strategic contributor in efforts that drove the IPO of one of the earliest online video distributors, JumpTV (TSX: JTV), Sila brings valuable insight and knowledge regarding the leadership and management challenges faced by small start ups as well as growing companies and brands.

Throughout her career, Sila has had the opportunity to establish a strong network of contacts and has worked with the leading companies in the media and telecommunications space globally, including MTV Networks, RTL Group, DISNEY, Sony, Universal, Dogan Media Group, Comcast and British Telecom. The scope of her experiences has spanned virtually all aspects of media creation and distribution, including marketing, sales and business development as well as product development, content sourcing and licensing.

Sila holds a degree in Banking and Finance from University of Cologne and is passionate about shoes and tech. Yes, both.

Karina Chez

Co-Founder and Partner

Karina has vast experience in business development, management and international marketing. As the former Marketing Director of JumpTV (TSX: JTV), a pioneer online distributor of live TV and sports programming from over 80+ countries, and one of the first professionals prior to its IPO, Karina negotiated and secured top-tier content rights in the Caribbean, directed hundreds of international campaigns and managed marketing teams in five regions. Prior to JumpTV, Karina provided strategic analysis to small businesses at the SBDC, re-assessed and developed successful business models, and subsequently sourced funding. She is the COO of MGK, Inc., an investment management firm that owns, manages, and invests in real estate and start-up ventures, has worked for the United Nations and is a founding member and former VP of the non-profit Juventud & Desarrollo. She is also co-founder of KAYA Energy which focuses on on renewable energy projects in the DR.

Karina holds a master's degree in international affairs from Columbia University, an MBA from Pace University and a bachelor's degree in marketing from Universidad Iberoamericana. She's an adventurous foodie who thrives on exciting entrepreneurial ventures.

Didem Yoruk

Sales and Marketing Manager

Didem has over 15 years of experience in the sales and marketing industry including retail, IT and online sales.

With an extensive sales training and background from Dell Canada Inc. Didem brings strategic and specific sales solutions to help you exceed monthly and quarterly quotas and helps you extend your business. Didem joined Umar Internet Technologies in 2008 and was a key player in the growth and success of their Online Medical Tourism startup VisitandCare.com.

Didem graduated from York University in Toronto, Canada with an Honors degree in Business and Society. She practices Yoga regularly and loves to travel.
